Every week, we meet elderly people who have just come out of hospital

— still weak, still healing — and have no food in the cupboard.
No one to help.
No family to shop for them.
No idea where to turn.

Most food banks require referrals. 
But what if you are housebound? What if no one even knows you need help?

At Get Me Home & Friends CIC, we’ve removed the red tape.
We deliver free food and wellbeing bags to anyone aged 65 and over in Yeovil and surrounding areas — with no referral and no judgement.

Just care.

​​🛍️ What is Inside the Bags You Help Fund : Food Bag (£15 to provide)

Packed with comforting, long-life items like:

• UHT milk

• Tea, sugar, porridge oats

• Soup, tinned fruit, rice pudding, biscuits

• Tinned meat, crackers
  Enough for around 3 days of meals.

Wellbeing Bag (£13 to provide)

Includes:

• Shower gel, shampoo, deodorant

• Flannel, towel, wipes

• Toothbrush & toothpaste

• Delivered in small bags for ease and dignity

We use a simple online request form that asks for:

• Contact details

• Delivery address

• Allergy and dietary needs

This ensures each bag is not only helpful — but safe.

We don’t yet have storage for food — so we buy everything at full shop price, or accept donated items with receipts.

When donations run low, we cover the cost ourselves.
No admin cut. No hidden costs. Just meals, care, and human kindness.
